Best thing for CARB would be for that entire agency to get wiped off the face of the earth, and FMCSA with them.

CARB, like all bullies, likes to go after soft/easy targets. -
They love to set up at the T/A in Coachella. They wrote me up because I idled my truck for 10 minutes and it was 122 degrees outside.

Are they trying to regulate business out of their state? The way I see it, a better approach might be to require trucks to meet the emissions for the year of the truck. Basicly don't let gliders in. Give it enough time and let the old trucks die when their time comes ... Eventually you will have a high compliance % just by doing that. Maybe they are in competition with the feds to see who can manufacture more "problems" then extract cash out of people just trying to earn a living.

Since they partied away the budget the Federal dollars are desperately needed....but will be lost if they don't get into compliance with the mandates. Problem with CA and Detroit ( others ) is they refuse to live within their means like you and I. The Fed writes checks at will because he owns the printing press but it's illegal for CA and Detroit to have one.

I wish I had the time to go in with you on that lawsuit. -
No. The EPA regulations override all state air pollution regulations except California's. Cali gets exempted because their air quality board was created before the EPA was created.
