Carlisle,PA truck stop accident

That was just awful. When he steered into the slot he had NO room for trailer swing.

The good news is he properly "assumed the position" of stupid after the accident: hands on top of his head. This must be a position that is rooted deep in the DNA of the Darwinally challenged, like that idiot in the US Express truck that tears everything up trying to pull a U-turn on a narrow road (I still cringe watching that video).

 

I went back and looked at the video. No phone, he had full control and was looking in the direction of his turn before the cab leaves the field of view. Likely he wasn't watching his right mirrors AT ALL as he started into the slot.

 

I stand corrected, looked at it blownup on my tablet this time....it's a shaker

 

I guess this is square in the "preventable accident" category. Before the days of dash cams, a similar accident happened to me, guy cut it too close and took off the corner of my 4070B.
I was in the sleeper at the time. Cops refused to come because it was on private property.
Outcome: He told his company I hit him. Their lawyer said sue us. My insurance just paid for it.

 

Time to pick up several bottles of whiskey and knock back his missery for a long while. Poor sob.

 

Well, being Canadian, it's the polite thing to do.
