I get it, you wanted to talk on 11 meters with that 10 meter radio real bad. Otherwise it was a $375 paperweight in your possession. It was going to do 10-15 no matter what.

Keep in mind we are all at the mercy of these people that call themselves technicians that are supposed to know everything there is to know about their chosen occupation.

I had heard good things about Custom CB, so when I bought a radio, I went there in my personal vehicle on my day off to have home set it up for me. When I got there, the lack of "real" test equipment persuaded me to just have him convert it. I knew that it was the removal of one diode, so how badly could he do that? If I could get to Mark S's place, I would be more than happy to have him go through it top to bottom, front to back.

If you buy 10 meters, without being able to, much less knowing how to use it, and it's not converted, the radio is basically useless to that user. So, you pay a hack to convert your rig so you can get out 10-15 miles with your custom Roger beeps. When you could have waited to have it done right and got it 20-30 miles. -
Wait to get get it done right where? Sherman? We've already been down that dead end street...
I'm still waiting for one of you guys to recommend where to get my 955 gone through by a professional?slim6596 Thanks this. -
