Ive got a tractor that needs moved a good ways and just wasnt comfortable using the old rusty farm chains laying around so I went shopping here in Southern Illinois. Bought some 3/8" G70 chain for $3.50 per foot from Rural King. Also bought some nice shiny ratchet binders (because I've never had any like that and I like shiny stuff) at Tractor Supply for $70 each. The binders are rated G70 for 3/8" and G43 for 1/2". I'm not exactly sure what that means so help me out? Anyways did I get a deal or bent over good? Where does everyone get their equipment, is there a large national seller for this kind of securment?
Chain & Binder prices?

You tell me: http://www.uscargocontrol.com/Flatb...e-70-3-8-Transport-Chain-Binders-And-Fittings
Granted, you might also want to consider, you bought from a retail location and not a wholesale website. So you probably did okay. There are their margins and overhead to consider. Plus, the price of convenience and not having to wait for/paying for shipping.mitmaks and johnboy023 Thank this. -
