Trimac Transportation - can make $100K in their Elite Fleet running coast to coast.
Schuster - nations largest ice cream hauler.
Britton Transport - smaller outfit with flatbed/reefer/van
South-East Carriers - dry van coast to coast & NO northeast.
Holland Enterprises Inc. - avg. length of run 1600 miles & trucks have refrigerator/freezer/direct tv/Tripac APU.
Nick Strimbu Inc. - teamsters union, reefer division has long runs.
Tribe Transport - reefers coast to coast. Tripac APU.
Fairchild Freight - hauling produce to Alaska.
I think all the above have APU except maybe Trimac.Last edited: Sep 30, 2016

Make a list of everything you want from a company. Decide what items on the list are flexible and what are deal breakers. Stick to it and it will greatly increase your odds of finding a good fit.
Rusty Trawler Thanks this. -
A deal breaker for example is a idle policy. No apu etc.
Flatbed is a excellent work, you will work some that will help you stay fit.
Tanker work is fun. Actually. Try it.
Vans are ok, anyone can run them, the problem is sometimes people feel abused in a Van and no longer give a eff about them That is when problems really start.
Reefer is somewhere in the middle. But you must be prepared for incredible demands on your body. You cannot be fat and slothy here.sevenmph Thanks this. -
Those endorsements would come in handy at any major LTL company.

I found it impossible to apply at trimac. I tried several times through email and phone calls. Nobody replied to any of them so I gave up!

Go to Schneider tanker for a year then switch over that is what on me if our admins did
