I have two spare switches on the dash along with all the other light/engine control switches. they have a couple wires running to them already and a couple others just looped on the back of the switches.

I want to hook up some under-dash lights and was wondering how I do that with the factory switches?

    Thanks for the help folks!!

Bill, I added more then a whole complete row and switches and ran all the wires for them. Sounds to me like if those switches are hooked to nothing then the wires you have going to them are for the lights that are in the switch when you turn on your dash lights. It possible that the switches could already have power and they just need the output plugged in. If your around sometime I can take a look at it for you. Or if you can get some good pictures of them and the wiring I might be able to help you like that as well.

Lots of switches... Can you control every marker light individually from the dash?

I'll bet that tile floor gets cold on the feet in the winter :p

    Nice lookin dash!

Cool! Thanks Kevin, I have been running real hard lately so it might be hard to pop by but I will try to post a pic if I can't.

I have some new Donaldson's to finally replace the old muffs, hoping to do that next weekend.

    Thanks,
    Bill

I hooked up my OD strobes to one of my "spares" on the dash. The switch had power for the dash lighting as well as power to the switched portion as well. Easy as can be. I even, caveman-like, etched what a strobe into the black painted information area of the switch so it lights up.

Floor does get cold but truck doesn't see the road here in the winter, way too much salt!

I have the switches to operate a couple lights I added :biggrin_255:

Honestly Guy call a electrician or a mechanic that knows wiring, you could burn your truck down or fry the wires, from what you said you have no need to play with wires.
