    So it gets really confusing

I am talking to guys who are truck drivers for more than 10 years and they tell me Owner Operators barely earn 80 000 (beore taxes) a year and company drivers 60 000 (I have just listened to Walmart commercial in radio promising 83 000 for company drivers). However new emigrants blow my mind and tell me owner operators with 1 truck make up to 150 000 before taxes also they say they work as much as they can until they are totally exhausted to sleep.

So what should I do. do this maths: (80 000 + 150 000)/2 = 115 000? Is it real amount achievable as owner operator?

150,000 gross. That's before truck payment, maintenance, fuel efc. So no, that wouldn't be anywhere close to 150,000 net after all of those.

If you run you will have no problem making 100k+ as o/o. Know your rates and where to be and hope for no issues with the truck

Trucko, you are talking to truckers. You will hear a lot of B.S. Tons of it. Every trucker makes money differently. It all depends on the type of person you are.

A lot of guys at truck stops or shippers or receiver's that I have tried to talk with about numbers don't seem to have a clue IMO... Every blue moon it seems one will actually be able to walk me through his cost per mile and all expenses and what not... This site does seem to have a good amount of guys that can give you real numbers...

If the emigrants your talking about are the Europeans and what not I haven't been able to find one yet that can get into any sort of detail on any numbers... The couple I have talked to are concerned about miles, miles and more miles...

please refrain from talking to BS artists.....

WHAT YOU EARN IS DEPENDANT ON HOW YOU RUN......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wannabe lazy..?? then you may make $30,000 per year.

wannabe a hustler.. then you may make $80,000 per year.

O/O's make money, all sorts of money, but they HAVE BILLS to pay each month.

one thing you had better learn right here and now.

any trucker will tell you his sexual exploits, but WILL NEVER tell you his earnings.....

No you're not. Discussions about money normally lead to people admitting that they were NavySeals. The guy was wearing an airforce hat, says that he was a Seal, and fought in Vietnam, and he's 53 years old.
