    yes. what engine? what ECM?

Ok, u can use electric range vave too, but u have to add neutral switch to actuate low-high range solenoid only when tranny is in neutral.

    Engine is detroit diesel 14 L SER 60, 2006, DDEC V.

What if I decide to keep it automatic, if all the sensors are replaced, what else could be wrong? Tranny is only 800k, so is the truck.

I have flashing F when I start the engine and some times it stuck on reverse or drive and starts flashing F, to get to neutral again, I have to drive a few feet on the last gear and then works again.....

one bad X-Y motor ore bad TCU
to be sure - remove XY motor assembly and test it with 12v power. Check motor bearings
if x-y motors are ok, connect it to tcu but do not install on tranny. turn ignition on and see how does it check/calibrate motors

after that turn ignition off to see ater run check.

If something goes wrong - u see what is bad!

To reprogram DDEC-IV/V u need DDRS software. U can easily download old version for free)))

Other problem - call hotline to get the ECM password.

Parameters to change - transmission type and speed sensor type/

Pablo you are golden! I am on the road now, but I will check that later.....

Where are the locations of these two sensors?

    Positionsensor part # FUL/K3438

    Speedsensor part # FUL/K4148

Two position sensors are on x-y motor assembly, it is top of transmission. Access from hatch in floor.

Speed sensor in on tail of transmission, there are two VSSs usually, one for EECM, other for TCM, but freightliner used only one sensor connected to TCU. TCU transmits speed by J1939 ore J1922 CAN and by J1708 datalink to other units, like EECM and dashboard,
