I've made roughly $14300 in 7 months. Some weeks not numbered here I made $0 due to being broken down that week and unable to send in paperwork until the next pay period. Basically the larger checks are after my breakdowns. If it keeps going this way I will have made maybe $27k BEFORE taxes when I hit 1 year

A truck driver should be making far more than a retail clerk or a retail shift supervisor working for a major retail chain.
    HOLY MOSES!!

I work for a major retail chain as a retail clerk.

The pay scale for a retail clerk ranges from $7.25 an hour to $10.50 an hour.
The pay scale for a shift leader working for the same company ranges from $11.00 an hour to $14.00 an hour.

    $7.25 an hour X 40 hours = $290 a week. $290 a week X 52 weeks = $15,080 a year.

    $10.50 an hour X 40 hours = $420 a week. $420 a week X 52 weeks = $21,840 a year.

    $11.00 an hour X 40 hours = $440 a week. $440 a week X 52 weeks = $22,880 a year.

    $14.00 an hour X 40 hours = $560 a week. $560 a week X 52 weeks = $29,120 a year.

    NOTE:
During holiday seasons one can earn extra money putting in overtime. Other times, throughout the year, retail clerks and shift leaders do not always get 40 hours a week. I have also received extra hours and overtime, in the past, by working other peoples shifts when they were either on vacation or they have called in sick.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

You must be at least getting the bills paid otherwise you wouldn't still be there i'd imagine. As long as you can keep your head above water try and stick it out till you reach the 1 yr mark then look for something better.

What is there really more to know? A dude a few posts up listed his last 24 weeks of paychecks. And they were ####. I'd look elsewhere for employment.

A few days ago I called Conway Truckload to have some questions answered. As one already knows, it has been bought out by XPO Logistics.

The recruiter that I spoke to mentioned that the average driver averages 120,000 miles a year, which comes out to 10,000 miles a month. The recruiter also mentioned that it is consistent year round work working for Conway Truckload.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

Shown below is information that was e-mailed to me.

Thank you for your interest in joining the team. I wanted to follow up with you to give you the information you need to make this decision, if at any time you have additional questions please let me know.

We are offering free training for those that qualify. We have several schools that we are currently working with in Oklahoma and Missouri. All of your housing, meals and transportation to Missouri will be provided. This program will be 100% free with a 12 month contract your only out of pocket expenses will be your licensing fees and DOT physical. Without our assistance the program is $3,245-$3,350. Classes start every week and we have 15 slots reserved which will be filled on a first come first serve basis. Based off of the availability of the classes/schools it will be at your recruiters discretion on what school you will be placed in. You will need to obtain your CDL permit in the State you reside in. Some States require that you have a DOT physical before obtaining your CDL permit. If that is the case, you will need to get that as well.

Step 1. Obtain your Class A permit in your state. You will need to go to your local Department of Motor Vehicles to get the book to study for the written portion of the test, in most states this will consist of your General Knowledge, Air Brakes, and Combination. Important information: If you take the portions at separate times please make sure that you have all portions combined by your DMV, in most states this is automatic but some states it is not and could result in restrictions on your license that will keep you from being able to test in Missouri for your license. Some states require you to have a DOT physical and will require you to turn in a copy of the physical in order to drive outside of your state. You must make sure that your license will be “Non-Excepted Interstate” or “Interstate”, your recruiter does not know every states requirements on licensing so it is your responsibility to make sure you are in compliance with your state. If your state has no requirements for the DOT physical we can issue your physical when you arrive for school. If you have a DOT physical we must have a copy of this for compliance purposes.

Step 2. Apply and call your recruiter http://true2blue.com/student-drivers/ If you do not have internet access please call your recruiter and we will be able to do a phone application. At this point we will add you to the schedule for the start date of your choice, please give us about 2 weeks lead time for us to get you into the class you choose.

Step 3. You will be arriving the Thursday before your class starts so that we can do your DOT physical (even if you already have one) and your drug screen which is hair follicle and urine. You must have enough hair to give a sample which is ¼ inch length. They can take from your head, arms, legs, armpit or chest.

At this time we are hiring for over the road in almost every state and we offer regional in the following areas: NE, WI, IN, OH, KY, IL, MI, MO, KS, OK, AR, TX, LA and MS. We have no local or dedicated runs available, however if something comes available while you are with us you have the opportunity to move into one of those positions.
