I wouldn't go so far as to call the Cop am idiot. Since.the video only shows the truck driving down the road with him hanging on the door you really don't know what led up to that situation. Maybe someone else was in the truck besides the driver that was being kidnapped or held hostage. Don't second guess why someone is doing something until you know the whole story.
Conway vs nypd(not an accident)

That is the best thing I've seen this year. Hang on piggy!!!!
-
I still cant find anything on it, really curious to know what the specifics were regarding it
-
The officer was probably too embarrassed to report it.
-
I'm sure he reported it. If you take off with a cop hanging onto your truck when you do finally stop your going to jail for a long time. I don't think he let him go on his way with a warning and a DOT inspection.
-
Let's see ya put a bullet in me now, with you on the side of this truck at speed!

I said NO ####ING HITCH HICKING!!!!!

Okay, knowing NYC here is my theory:
The truck is lost on a parkway ( where they aren't allowed) cop pulls him over. There isn't much space to pull off (notice there is no shoulder) so the cop (even though it's probably against dept procedure) is riding the running boards directing the driver how to get off the road so he can get his very large ticket.
Although the parkways in NYC have low clearance bridges, many are arch shaped and perhaps a truck can fit through in a specific lane. So I'm guessing the police are going to guide the truck under a bridge before the next available exit.
If that's the case the cop is gonna get in almost as much trouble as the driver when this video gets out. Which would explain the lack of reporting.average joe Thanks this. -
The commentary was exceptional.
