62 tons of grain from Wichita to Baytown. Back roads at night staying far away from any coops.
Old rank kill cows will keep you on your toes, too.Tall Mike and Straight Stacks Thank this. -
Never pulled a load that was "awesome" or all that unusual. But, probably the most memorable trip was my first time running through the Smokies in a thunderstorm and popping out above the clouds. Very cool when the tops of the mountains look like islands. Having the clouds below you flashing from lightning with the sun out was breathtaking. (I had never been on a plane prior to this either)

I've delivered a few (empty) [well, at least I hope they were,] caskets to funeral homes. But really nothing exotic. I suppose some of my highest dollar loads were TL electronics to big distribution centers.
Certainly nothing compared to what some of you guys do on a daily basis. But it put food on the table and kept the bills paid, so what more could a driver ask for.Ougigoug, Tall Mike, Cottonmouth85 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I like the sign on the back of those Batesville Casket trucks. Text and drive and your next ride might be in here
