WAUSHARA COUNTY - A truck driver from Maine was killed Thursday night after his truck rolled over and the tractor caught fire on Interstate 39 near Coloma.
The Waushara County SheriffÂ’s Department said 50-year-old Gregory P. Ingalls of West Bath, Maine, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was headed southbound on I-39 when the accident happened near mile marker 122.

I actually saw him leave the road, the truck flew of a berm and hit the trees half way up, flipping it over into a barrel roll, bursting the one fuel tank on the trees. I stopped my truck and ran to get him out, but b4 i could get past the trailer the second tank blew and he was gone. Sad to see it happen. All I could do was stop traffic til help arrived. It was like slow motion or a movie watching him jump that hill, no attempt to correct on the rumble strips or brakes... hopefully the impact killed him or a heart attack rather than the fire, I called for him but no response, it sucked being that close but powerless to help. I did however call his dispatch right away and gave them the trailer number to id the driver and the load for the fire dept when they arrived... Our prayers are with his family...

Hi GunzFlatbedder, I wanted to give you an FYI update on this man. I was researching older obits from a few months ago, looking for someone I had heard passed away. There was something that made me read the obit of this lady that was only 48. As I read on, it stated that her husband had died in '09. I googled his name and found his obit and other small items that said he died tragically in Wisconsin, that is when I found your post on his accident.

How tragic and horrific it must be to witness a thing like that. I commend you and thank you for posting your account of the story.
Her name is Karen Ingalls and she is Gregory Ingalls wife. I read the condolences on the Funeral Home site. Don't know how she died but I think it was a broken heart.

This the link for her obit. If you want to read the condolences,
once you're at the obit page, click enter, then click condolences on the menu on the left, and another list will pop up, click condolences again!! It is not very user friendly at all! OK, it won't let me give you the link, if you want it, you can email me but that is a link too!!

If you'd like to reply, that is my email. I am not supposed to have a link on here until I have made more posts! Leave the spaces out, I had to put it like that or it will be recognized!

    Peace ~
    Sandi

P.S. I'm from Maine. Also, I have been looking around trying to figure out how to "say, Thank You" on here?

a hard thing to witness and I express my condolences. I know the folks on Remembering Fallen Truckers will do the same.
Hope that you will be able to hit the road again despite the hardship of the tragedy.

I just wanted to say thank you for trying to help; this was my father-in-law, today marks the 4th anniversary since the accident. My husband has been struggling with this since the news it happened, your thoughts and prayers are much appreciated. It was said he did not take a breath in the fire, I'm praying he really was gone before the fire started. Still no actual determination as to why it happened could ever be reached.
Thank you for all your efforts, our family really appreciates it.
