Dart Lease Purchase

I have watched supposed o/o on here knocking less for several years now and here is what i have learned in real life. I have worked with, driven for and have friends that are or were o/o and have discovered that most of the folks on here claiming to be o/o making this great cash that is so far above and beyond what a l/o makes are either full of cheap or supremely blessed. I have leased twice. The first i would have done as well or better than the o/o's i know if the fsc would have been better. The second I made that $1.00 a mile but got a good fsc and very good fuel discounts through Love's and did better than most o/o i know. I didn't pay the company any more than they did in truck payments and ins. Etc and my net was just as good or better and my payoff was less because i didn't have the interest they had and i paid off sooner because of this. If you run your own board or are leased to a company like mercer that has consistent higher passing loss then you can do better if you work at it and watch your p's and q's, but to get on here and say you are paying on a new truck and being 2.5 or 3k a week and are so much better than a l/o, i call bs. I have seen one o/o go belly up and another in dire straits so all its not rosy on the o/o side either.

 

2000 a month?? that sux!

 

You consider keeping your head above water a headache. Personally I consider having someone tell me where i can or can not go and how I can Orr can not get there and when i can or can not go home much much much more of a headache.

Wow I was at dart from 88 to 92 and apparently the Orens funny math hasn't changed .
