Anybody have any experience with running some kind of tuner on a dd15? I have a 09 cascadia and was looking around for a tuner like a bully dog or something but there's so many I dint know who's good bad or if any of them are really worth the money. I'm looking to get a little more power without going crazy with turbos and manifolds. Any info or direction will be great. Thanks

Google steinbauer. I have no idea idea if they are any good.

Somewhere I recall hearing that Pittsburgh Power has or is working on a tuner, you might call them.

I'm trying to argue with my Freightliner dealer that mine could be set to 505/1750. I'm not having much luck, a Detroit dealer is probably my next stop.

I've read somewhere about these motors being turned up to 550 and 1850 or something to that nature. I'll keep looking. Thanks

What was it set at originally and which dealer turned it up? Was it under warranty when you did it?

    Thanks for the help!

I had my independent mechanic check mine out and he said it was turned up all the way.

Looks like mine might be put on hold because of an oil leak that today I found out needs to go to Freightliner or Detroit because it some gasket or seal that on the back where the block connects to the transmission housing. I called Detroit and they quoted me $1,500-$2,500 just in labor. Kinda pissed right now mainly because I just put about $6,000 into the truck with in the last 2 months.

Did all drums, shoes, slack adjusters, all shocks including cab, clutch switch, firewall pass through air hose manifold, air compressor, power steering pump, and rear air bags. all was maintainece that I needed except the air compressor and while I was there I put the new power steering pump on because it was no more labor so might as well do it. Oh well that's trucking. That's why I tell my drivers to save there money for times like this with high Shop bills and days off work.
