Thinking about getting my own truck.
Do I need to keep the passenger seat or can I remove it.
That seat takes up a lot of real estate in the sleeper and I never use it except as a flashlight holder.
Also, anyone know of a recliner designed to fit in the sleeper?
I know it would need seat belts.
Maybe an RV store that sells them?
I know some trucks have convertible sofas instead of a regular bed. Can that be done ... ripping out bed and putting in a convertible sofa??
Do I need a passenger seat?

I've never heard anything to the contrary... Pass seat is coming out of my truck tomorrow to make room for my AC unit.
NavigatorWife and WisconsinF150 Thank this. -
Freight companies for years have been deleting the passenger seat. I took mine out the moment I purchased this truck, put a desk type arrangement there. Even had a DOT officer use it on one inpection.
NavigatorWife, WisconsinF150, VWjunkie1345 and 2 others Thank this. -
Not required, my company has a no rider policy and some drivers have their passenger seats removed. They wrap them in plastic and store them in the shop. I personally like mine, all my miscellaneous items go in my seat back organizer.
WisconsinF150, NavigatorWife and bzinger Thank this. -
Yellow has spec'd some of their trucks without passenger seats for decades!
Ask me how I know!
Nothing but a metal box of sorts...WisconsinF150 Thanks this. -
No passenger seat required and if you can find one of the smaller framed recliner to fit in the spot you won't have to have a seat belt as long as no one sits in the recliner while you are driving
WisconsinF150 Thanks this. -
We don't have passenger seats in ours either, except for a few that get used for training.
WisconsinF150 Thanks this. -
