Do you tip for showers?

I live in Vegas. Tipping is the way of life here. I tip for showers. I go out of my way to tip those people that clean the showers. Even leave them notes thanking them for all the hard work they do. And God"s blessings. That job must be worse then truckin....!

 

Ditto on the haircut tip
These poor girls make min wage and have to go to school for a year. If she does a good job and doesn't hurry I will tip nicely

 

Their employer should pay them properly. I've known waitresses who want tips because then they can get more money that's tax free for a portion of it. I do tip but don't agree with the practiceas it is done in America.

 

A lot of folks will hand out big money to the cons that beg for cash at truckstops and street corners, but would never even think to tip the shower cleaner.

These are folks that actually work for their cash. Why not tip them to encourage them in their work instead of encouraging the beggars to hassle real people?

 

once around Christmas 02 got bottle of iris scotch whiskey at shipper picked up crystal stuff..lol

 

I do if it is amazingly clean.
I was teaming with my son and my daughter was along. Can't ember where in cali we were some TA. I needed an extra towel. The poor man who cleaned the showers just sat down to take a bite of his sandwich. I asked him when he had a chance to get me one. He looked lik he hadn't had a break all day. He sighed got up to get me a towel. I left him a $20 tip cause in another circumference in my life I know the feeling.
He hunted me down while I was lQQking for our next load and thanked me.

( shrugs ) hey , its about thee only way this old man can put a smile on a pretty girl's face .

 

I usually tip..as long as shower is clean and friendly attitude

 

Since about 2001, I've always made it a point to tip $5 without judging the attendant. You never know if the previous shift cleaned your shower, etc. The world would be a better place if we made it a point to treat others like we want to be treated.
