First off I'm not a carhauler, But the other day I saw a 7 car setup who was parked next to me.
I took a pic. of how he had strapped the cars down. Now some he ran a strap through the rim on the front end, but most were tied down the like the pic. I took.
These are 2 inch straps like you use on a flatbed ld. not a carhauler
Am I right this is not what a true carhauler would do or is this the new lazy, I wanna make the big bucks carhaulers now days.
    Thanks 20160721_211437.jpg

Nope you're correct, he's a moron. Sad thing is that it takes more effort to do that then it does to use a proper OTW strap.

 That's just plumb sad. Shows who's doing this stuff now. And the real sad part, is they probably made it and will continue to do it this way. Don't follow a parking lot, I guess.

What's wrong with that? They actually market & sell straps that do the exact same thing for a lot more $$$.

I agree, not a car hauler here either. But what is wrong with it?

If the car rolls, I'd think it roll right out of the way that's done. I've seen straps over the tread, long ways and the harness type, but not too many like this.

I hauled a car on my step and ran them around the tires like that since I don't have the over the wheel kind. The front stayed but the back ones fell off after 100 miles. I had the parking brake set. Guess I need to buy some of the correct straps for the future.
