Swift is a cheap company. They prove it with their equipment and low pay.

but they do spend extra money on driver facing cameras and recruitment ADs posted at all the truck stops so they must be good.

Not a fan of Swift, but I can't agree with this. I see a lot of new Swift trucks running around. Of course I also see a lot of new trucks with new damage running around as well, so I guess they have to invest in new equipment to replace the stuff they tear up on a daily basis.

If you didn't hit him you wouldn't need that video to clear yourself... if you don't know that you shouldn't be driving

Swift gets new trucks all the time... however they are poorly equipped and their other equipment is trash... their trailers are rusting apart

    HousTank and Cromwell Thank this.

We do have some older trailers, but the crop is getting better.
In the past couple years I have had fewer and fewer rust buckets. Most of the bad ones have been outed.
A few places, like Salt Lake City and Laredo, inspect and fix each trailer as it comes in.

    And, poorly equipped trucks?
    They are pretty basic, granted.
But a good cooler, a couple small inverters and a lunchbox oven go a long way.
There may be some lemon trucks out there, but they do try to keep the trucks in good shape - as long as the driver does the same.

Don't need to explain this to them, these guys are like older guys who worked with swift a long time ago or theyre the quitters because they complained nobody cared about them as a driver. Boohoo ..cry babies. You can't change their minds.
