Does anyone have info on running out of Orlando? I would do Orlando to Jacksonville or Tampa. There are a lot of auctions and dealerships. Along with the ports. I have talked to a lot of guys running the duallys with a 3/4 car and they all seem to be doing well. I respect the opinions on here so I was just wanting to get some input. Most seem to be running various setups with a Dodge. Thanks.

I dont think they're doing well. Thier trucks are junk and they haul cheap and theres plenty of competition. I-HauL out of Jacksonville hauls cars for $100 a car from Sanford to Jax. The source I heard this from was one of thier customers.

So there is no way to run 3-4 loads a day then build your own client base?

4 loads Orlando-Jax is over 1000 miles, plus loading/unloading time plus added time if you have to go to the port. You do the math.

It's not that it can not be done, obviously some people are doing it. They are just settling for a VERY, VERY, VERY low salary or running absolutely illegal, as in not even insurance. Why would you want to do that?

if granted with only these 2 choices, what dually would you buy for pulling a 4 or 5 car trailer ... 2005 c4500 with duramax 6.6 & allison trans, or 2005 c7500 with duramax 7.8 ?

Dodge 4500 or 5500 if you absolutely couldn't go semi.
