Yeah, its smelling regen, but no regen light is on. Exhaust is monoxide, and not dioxide, right?

I'm surmising that if someone smoked cigs, or worked around oil or diesel all day, they wouldn't smell anything. Have them get a non-smoking office girl, bet she could smell something "funny".
"funny" only because she pbly couldnt identify the smell.

Well I would check the exhaust for any leaks coming back from the engine to where it turns and goes up the stack at the back of cab, then when you get a few minutes, check the gear shift boot? See if maybe it is letting fumes from under the engine come in? It may not be exhaust but fumes coming off the road, if you are in traffic in the inclines is the smell greater? You really don't want this to go to far. I hope you get it taken care of.

Whoa... I gotta laugh at that statement.
When there's ANY possibility of carbon monoxide... "Whenever I get around to it" should NOT be in your vocabulary!:biggrin_2551:lol

Lol!!! I don't smoke and the smell to me is clear and strong. We are going to get it in the shop. Even though my husband can't smell anything, fortunately for me the cruise doesn't work either!!! Haha.

Now how fast you get it into the shop will depend on two things...
    1. Do you team drive or ride with your husband...
    2. How well you like your husband...

Lol!!!! I am just a rider and I guess 21 years says he is a keeper. As frustrating as he can be!!! He doesn't seem affected by it so maybe the question should be reversed... How well does he like me!!!

Well here is to getting it fixed, The shop needs to run an exhaust leak test on it, There may be a leak in the system that can cause further problems internally, Tell you husband that, He should be on the shop because there is a problem someplace! Take Care Be Safe 21 years is almost as long as my wife has had me! We just past 18! To another 21! Good Luck.

Criminey Jade and Cristal143 Thank this.
