On my 359 it flickers iv tryed a new gauge to try to get it to quit flickering but no luck I can change the filters and its steady for about about a hour then right back to flickering possible a fuel restriction
So I can't really say all our e models are steady I never put a fass fuel on mine but I beleave it would really help it
I'll bet there some old school hands on here that can help us iv only owned 3 b models and thy never give me much trouble sorry not much help to u

If its the fuel pressure gauge at the bottom of the dash its common to flicker. The lift pump on a be is a plunger pump. If it's the restriction gauge flickering can mean your drawing air or can be nothing at all. If they are both staying in the green I would run it

I only half read about the fuel pressure gauge. I believe if you solder the hole shut in the gauge and then drill it out with a TINY drill bit it will stop the fluttering.
