I recently picked up a astatic meter to set up my swr/troubleshoot a cobra 29ltd. Maybe this is an dumb question, but when the meter is hooked up and I'm testing do I want the selector switch on the radio to be in the S/RF position or in SWR position? Thanks..

S/RF, SWR position would be if you are using the built in meter to check the SWR.

Thanks guys... I knew if using the built in meter I'd use the SWR switch but then I wondered if it somehow had an effect while using an outside meter to..
