    Okay,
So I am heading down to Allentown on the 27th of Jan. I have a Class A with like every #### endorsement known to man but no experience so i chose werner...cause they called unlike everyone else. So my recruiter tells me that I will be put on the Family dollar dedicated account. Now is he lying and I will get screwed and be put on some waiting list, cause if that is the case I will walk the hell out of that place. Any info anyone with REAL knowledge can provide will help a lot. Thank you

Welcome to the forum bosoxhater. Near the bottom of the page on you left you will see the post rules, as well as the forum rules.
Since Werner has given you a chance, try to give them one as well.

    Good luck, and Stay safe.

I have never heard of someone getting Dollar G right out of training. But i guess it could happen. Alot guys don't want to drive in your area. When you get to orentation, call the driver placement dept, ask if there is any open positions in your area. Goodluck:biggrin_25525:

call them back and get an recorder...aka dispatch buster.... Have them tell you again that you are going on the dollar account and if it does not happen then you have some fire power to walk out after you bring it to the higher ups.... might not do ya any good but it is just better then going in there with nothing at all !

I'm sure you will get on it. They can't get guys with experience to work unloading trailers for 4 hours a day.

dollar general uses rolltainers and blue flat carts family dollar is roll off conveyer which you finger print everything..... at dollar general my best time at unloading an fully loaded 48' trailer was 2 hours
dollar general has lift gates which you can get 3 to 4 rolltainers at a time on....

I am a student and will be until 2-5-10. Had a Werner recruiter come by and speak with the class today 1-18-10. He also spoke of a dedicated account with Dollar General, he says that there are openings with them now. That doesn't mean that they will be there when I get through with the rest of my school and Werner's 6 weeks. I also met a Swift driver who just got out of training and has a dedicated account with Family Dollar. I think the catch with both is that YOU the Driver unlaods ALL you freight so you just might get the account due to that fact....
