FedEx RTD Drivers, etc

I currently drive OTR for Fed Ex ground

 

I also drive OTR for FedEx ground - Bedford park But looking to get steady run, because I do not like not to have at least 4500 miles every week.

 

Ive never driven 4500 miles in a week yet. How sad. The most was 4100 and took home just under 700

 

Im starting to wonder if i should go to a company and look for a woman as a team driver because i like to be clean and shower as much as i can and guys ive driven with are just disgusting.

I want to put all the nice smelling things in the truck to keep any stench down. I buy febreeze and spray down the bottom bed every time we switch because of how disgusting it smells from the other person.

Put it to you this way, first day out to start the week, and why am i smelling stench from this guy as if he hasnt showered in 2 days already.

 

What is your location? 700 for 4100 miles looks so low...

 

Oh the 4100 is split between drivers. I can say im in the area of 303 location.

 

4100 miles X .28 cents ( that is minimum pay before taxes) makes 1148 green money. 200 for taxes, leaves you with net 1000 dollars. You may have big deductions, besides of that 0.20 cpm pay...

 

Oh each driver gets 40cpm they said.
My gross has always been less than 900
I just know i need to leave and weeding through my options of staying in trucking or leaving.

 

FedEx ground is a rip off. I drove for them. The owner has to get his cut and your left with peanuts. Running team with a smelly partner. Only good thing is your getting doubles experience and the name of Fedex on your resume. A lot of companies like that believe it or not. You can make 1500-2000 gross a week running team for a LTL company. Or run solo linehaul be home every night and clear 1k after taxes or more. Most I made at FedEx ground running team was 55k. That was a lot of hard running too. I made 65k my first year as a linehaul driver solo. FedEx ground is just a rip IMO.
