I had mine at 52 inches and it worked out perfect, never any weight issues.
And I had a heavy 379 Peterbilt, so I would recommend 52

I pull 46k peroxide tanks, so I've got to have mine at 53" and as far forward as I can reasonably shove it or I'm over. APU exception helps.
Tried hauling the same stuff with a 46" height fifth wheel and no matter how forward we shoved it, it was 35k or more. Height matters if you haul single-compartment liquid like I do.EZ Money Thanks this. -

We had a truck very similar to mine pull in today to drop a load of bulk asphalt...
Measured his at 51 3/4 inches.
He had the same air slide Jost fifth wheel....just taller stands under the plate.
We have called several places in the Charlotte area to try and get the stands switched out and no luck...
It can't be that big of a job! -
