Hello,
I am changing the fifth Wheel of a 387 Peterbilt 2007. Is there any other brand besides Fontaine that will work for the truck? Please help me with this.. Any recommendation is appreciated.
Thank you!

I've always used these..

I just replaced mine with another new Fontaine. Needed a kit,. but the adjusters were broken. Cost as much to repair as to replace with a new one.
My only regret is that I thought Fontaine 5th wheel was American made. Mine says made in China.

Up here jost was a popular replacement. Im assuming they're still available.

Jost 5th wheels are made in TN (landing gear in MI), and Holland is made in MI.

Didn't Fontaine have a recall?
-
Jost makes a plate that will fit on a fontain slider, also a replacement for the hollands as well. They are not interchangeable (Holland/ fontain) plates. The jost is hands down better than the fontain. I have always been partial to the double jaw hollands.

I've got a Pete 387 07 model. Put a Jost head on Fontaine mounts. No problems at all. Excellent product.

stick with the fontaine,,great 5th wheel,,Jost is cheaper but my first choice s a fontaine or Holland,,you can get an cab king pin disconnect with a fontaine,,I had one on my 98 Pete and loved it,
