    The other day the backup alarm starting coming on when the direction lights were on, now today when I hit the brake pedal, turn the main lights on or directional lights the backup alarm comes on. I checked the grounds and all seemed good. Any other ideas?

    If I had to guess, I would say that the backup alarm wires have somehow somewhere rubbed against another power wire in the lighting system, chafing off insulation, and making contact.

    When you select reverse, do any lights other than the standard backup lamps come on?
