    Can someone please help me understand the different roles at a fleet? Fleet manager? Purchasing manager? What is different about the roles?

    It's like the military. A dispatcher may have 25 trucks that he manages. A fleet manager may have 5-10 dispatchers and their trucks that he managers. Load planers track up coming loads and trucks that will be empty soon. They assign the loads to the trucks. A Purchasing manager is the same as in any other company. They play a very small role in large truck companies.
