Cash

Cash not to mention most get an additional discount

Most fleets have deals where they get a discount rate below the cash price in exchange for exclusive fueling. My company only fuels at Love's for example. And that discount fluctuates depending on the day, week, price of tea in China, etc.
You don't see it on the receipt through, it just shows the cash price.
Then you have Oregon and Indiana that have 4 fuel prices, lol.Last edited: May 3, 2016

It has been several years since I looked but if you take a good look at a comdata card you will see it actually is in the Master Card system. Every time you use a comdata card it does cost the truck stop money just like a credit card does. This is why some smaller private truck stops can't compete with the larger ones at the same price charged. In fact the smaller stops actually are charged more by comdata. When you use a fuel card most of the time the company is not actually paying what is on the receipt either. To say it is a cash price is not completely accurate. To better understand this system next time you get into a company home terminal go ask someone in the fuel dept that handles all of this.
