Fuel gauges in trucks usually don't work great to start. I don't trust mine. Keep track of your mileage and MPG and use that to know how much fuel you have.

Its pretty accurate when you're driving flat land and down hill. The stupid fuel pump was at the frontmof the tank in mine and I ran out if fuel going up,donner pass even though I had more than a 1/4 and half on flat land. I measured fuel manually those gauges suck.

    gerardo1961 and KB3MMX Thank this.

I have a problem with my tank reading half empty when I know that it is at least half full.
