I arrived here at 0915 for a 0900 pick up appt. Was getting a washout at the blue beacon up the road and they took a while, but the guard didn't mind my tardiness (although they did mention a half hour after appt would've been an issue.)

Got me a door within 15 minutes and was loaded up right away. Trailer was sealed up and bills were in my hand at 1015. I'll come back anytime!

Glad to hear that. Joplin is a truck friendly town. I would bet that trucking is a big employer there, and has provided good tax revenue for that area.

Yes, there's a lot of companies and related industry within a relatively small radius here. I used to pull alot of those GM loads when I was with D&D Sexton. There's Schreiber Cheese in Carthage, and a new petfood factory that opened up close to the FJ that ships 20-50 loads a day.

Congratulations on a positive post - are you feeling OK? Are you sure there's NOTHING to complain about this morning?

Been thier once, took maybe 2hrs. Had a rather mixed load too. I'll take 2hrs anyday. People were nice. Had some small talk with the guard after a prime went into the Tanker lane.

Pizza dough to CO, oh the irony.

    I go there a lot.
Usually my first load back out.

I've been In and Out like you.
And I have wasted 5 hours there before.

Swedish Chef and FerrissWheel Thank this.

I've loaded outta there a few times. Good folks...puts me dangerously close to 4 State Trucks, load in the trailer pays for the chrome/work I end up getting.

Swedish Chef and FerrissWheel Thank this.

Best time to pick up there is the day before Christmas right before they close for the holiday, they get you out there in no time.
