Might be free video but does the app include the data used to stream the video content too?

Might be curious to see if there is an app for the iPhone too.

Ya, I found it on the App Store and it's actually from Verizon Media... Some warnings from others that the data wasn't free for them as it was burning through their data package. Probably just a mistake or something... One said you had to have a phone that gets 4G LTE so their iPhone 4S didn't work.

Too bad I can't stream our Netflix or Hulu accounts in conjunction with this app like we are supposed to be able to do with the T-Mobile offerings.

    TROOPER to TRUCKER Thanks this.

I'm not for certain, but I don't think you can tether or hotspot that data to a laptop. You must view the video on the smartphone itself.

Or send it up to a tv via an AppleTV or something similar... Not tethering just routing the A/V to a different monitor.

I still think it's too much of the wireless company trying to contain and maintain an income stream off the data stream vs just allowing the user to use the data plan to access the Internet to watch excessing providers.

But... Since I am already on Verizon and looking for streaming options, I will certainly look into it and see if I like it before adding a tablet to T-Mobile.

    From Verizon ---

    What is go90?
go90 is a social entertainment platform built for the mobile-first generation. It offers access to live and on demand videos, wrapped in a social experience.

Some of the content you can expect to see on go90 includes: live events, prime-time TV, best-of-the-web and original series across comedy, music, gaming, lifestyle, sports, news and entertainment.

With the go90 app you can:

    • "Cut & Share" your favorite entertainment on Facebook®, Twitter® and email
    • "Follow" your favorite shows, channels, video and people
    • Share full episodes of your favorite shows
    ----------------

Does not say anything about Netflix or other movie streaming services. I know the competing t-Mobile "unlimited data" offering allows movie/netflix streaming, But I think this is only on smartphones and tablets

More details emerge from verizon ...

This may be a worthwhile fit for some, but I'm not seeing anything that interests me. There is "free unlimited data" but you're very limited how you can use it.
