Pulling a load in the hills with red lights all over (the aa in ky) and had a drivers ed car following me. Every time without fail, when I came up on a red, that car would be so close to me in the back it would disappear. .. trucks do move back a little when taking off, esp on hills.. good thing I paid attention and knew not to let it roll back.

Maybe I should have set my parking brake got out and went back and told that instructor how to instruct.

Nah, hit your flashers and allow them to blink only once when ever they start to get close. See how long they stay back there. Or even drive to the next light in first gear. The light will change and make them have to wait while you clear the intersection.

    From th
275 out of cincinatti up to alexandria, there are quite a few reds. And yes, restricted to 62000 lbs I was never even 55000 so I never worried.

Are you driving an automatic truck? I never rolled back with a manual.

13 speed. I don't roll back, but some do. Does nobody get the point here?

Ahhh, I love the AA. Used to do a nightly run to Huntington. There's nothing better than the fog after midnight and constant scanning for deer eager to embrace the hood of my truck. At least I always got to make the retun trip with an empty.
