Here's today's pop quiz: a driver (me) hauling a dry van passes through Baker CA heading southbound on I-15 at noon on a Friday (today), after being reprimanded a few days prior by his employer for exceeding the posted speed limit in CA and told to keep it at 55 from now on. In a rogue move that only the brashest of the brash would make, choosing to live on the edge as they say, said driver sets his cruise at 56 and except for going up a few of the steeper hills, maintains that speed all the way to I-10.
Basking in the safety of it all, the driver gets curious about a certain statistic: how many tractor-trailers will he be passed by, and how many will he pass, during the 150 miles or so between Baker and I-10 traveling at a steady 56 MPH? He decides to keep a tally, and does.
The quiz is multiple choice:
A. Passed by 56 and passed 7.
B. Passed by 46 and passed 0.
C. Passed by 32 and passed 5.
D. Passed by 40 and passed 3.
E. Passed by 59 and passed 1.
First correct answer wins a Thank You. Good luck!

Well done brsims. Passed by 46 and passed none. E was a good guess by No germs. It seemed to me there should have been more trucks around. Several stretches of time went by when no trucks were passing me---it seemed unusual.
