At Chicago and Ohio area, usually is plenty loads going to Northeast with good rate, but this year isn't ease find loads from this areas with reasonable rate.
Ok big boy Thanks this. -
Fuel prices are a buck cheaper this year. Plays a big role in rates. NE is real slow right now. Ohio is still treating me well tho. Just running to other areas.

Truckstop had a report that flatbeds are down 63% compared to last year and vans are down 40%
-
Yes Dune-T, at Chicago usually offer 70-90 loads per day going NE, but this summer show up 25-40 loads per day. Really the flatbeds down that percentage.
-
Fuel is $2 cheaper. And there's a million flatbeds not hauling pipe anymore due to the 1000 drilling companies no longer in business.
Not exactly those numbers. But that's the general picture.
Last week I went to houston and saw a total of 3 pipe loads on the highway. There used to be pipe being hauled eberywhere. -
Last year 1960 drilling rigs now 860. Yes less rigs drilling.
