havin part time problems with ac on a 2011 Freightliner M-2

    changed all but the compressor,, still works part time . is this a common problem?? I do a lot with Stoops an they cant figure it out. Any help greatly appreciated.

    too much freon. when temps goes up it increases pressure in the line turns off the pump to protect it. put 30 to 35 pounds in the line when its running where its 100+ degrees F should be good. the way to see if the pressure is too great is that your fan will not shut off at all when the ac is on. the switch senses the pressure in the system to tell when the freon is hot and turns the fan on. drain out a little freon you will be good. simple gauge from the truckstop or parts house will work. if you check it when its cooler then go someplace hot it will be different pressure
