I been driving for 3 months and got a ticket for driving on the I-70 with a hazmat load. This is my 4th time driving through it with a hazmat load and have never seen a sign nor has my company said anything about this route. Does anyone know how much a ticky like this coast?

I'm assuming this was the part of I-70 that is the Penna Tpk? It should say on the ticket what the fine is. If not call the 800 number on the ticket and ask what the fine/points are going to be.

Now . . . not saying it was me, or anyone I know - but I heard a little story about a driver who couldn't be bothered taking the laborious detour around the tunnel, so he would stop a few miles back, flip placards, and then reverse order on the other side . . .

For a few cans of hairspray, it fell into my light grey judgement category.

lots of character and truckon Thank this.

Easy to do as there does not seem to be any uniform signage used in different states.
The Eisenhower tunnel has pretty large signs. Being from Canada we use the dangerous goods symbols which is recognized all around the world. I remember going into Minneapolis - St Paul seeing a small sign that used the symbol NO over the letters HC which I had never seen before. Turns out that's no Hazardous Materials.

    KB3MMX Thanks this.
