I got a Silver Obamacare plan and it only costs me $43/month. Ubammy pays the other $450.
Just gotta show them you live in middle class poverty.

Absolutely, 4 years ago just before obamacare I was paying around 380 per month with BCBS single plan (my wife had her own) copay, plus meds plan, plus 2500.00 deductible, I am in pretty good shape never really used it, but figured it was cheap insurance. I was 54 never smoked good BP, etc

I was one of those that could not keep their plan, so BCBS comes out with the closet thing to what I had that was accepted, first year it was 450 per month and ded, was 4,000 BUT no med plan, and copay went up, next year up to 525 ded. up to 5000 now I am at almost 700 per month and my ded is at 7500.00

I have never used a dime of it, guess the money for all those subsidies that are being handed out have to come from somewhere. so now for ONE year worth of insurance if I was hoping to have insurance cover ANY costs, it runs me around 8100.00 a year for the policy and I would have to spend another 7500.00 out of pocket BEFORE any of my "insurance" kicks in, what a sham!!!

Guess what happens when you make a little more this year? They'll raise next years rates & have heard of people owing back money for exceeding previous estimated income levels. Cannot verify the latter as have not read the 2500+ pages of lawyer drivel. But then again why does anyone want their healthcare tied to their taxes?

Correction: The amount you contribute to a solo 401(k) is deductible for income taxes (state & federal), but not for FICA.
