Wanted to give some advice to those getting into trucking. If your company offers multiple of tiers of insurance, don't choose the immediate cost over the long term cost. A plan might be $20 less per week than a better one but it could cost you $100,000 more in the long term.
In the past year, I've known 2 drivers who've been screwed cause they went with the cheaper weekly plan over the more expensive.
Consider the deductible, the % they cover, etc.
Being truck drivers there is a greater likelihood of something major happening to us as opposed to the average office worker.
