But you just said you'll take the flashy 955?

The best way to know how good your technician is is to have him tune 2 radios for you and mount each one of those radios into a car and drive those two cars in opposite directions and see how far apart you can get from each other.
Repeat the same experiment with multiple technicians until you figure out which one allows you to get the greatest distance apart. That's a valuable learning experience.

Don't care about the flashy. The anytone changes color too (and has echo, talkback etc.)

But the 955 is a stand up, all around radio. Great on SSB and the power to get out on AM when needed.

I talked to hardrive last night and asked him to compare the two and he prefers the Anytone as a DXer, though he says it gets hot.. But he said the 955 is a great trucker radio for every day use.

He sells both tuned and shipped. I keep trying to talk myself out if it...

Didn't you want the flashy 955 just a couple days ago?

I have had Mark S. tuned radios before and flat out love their performance. I always walked in and dropped off/picked up though. How is he on shipping? Seems like he moves around a lot.

I've never done shipping with him I've always Dropped In person and spent the night while he worked on my stuff and left the next morning. The next time I need to get something worked on I'll have no choice but to spend the money on shipping unless someone can find me a better technician between now and then which I highly doubt.

I said more than that. I felt the AT didn't have software and some other features I've just become aware that it does. It's a tough choice now that you say HD sells them both!?! So I don't have to wait to get the AT from China? But what does my comment have to do with yours? :)

I hope to hell someone does find a better technician that knows how to use more than Facebook. WTF is wrong with regular email and phone numbers again?

    Ougigoug and wolverine11 Thank this.

Sometimes life forces us to do things that are inconvenient to get what we want.
