There's quite a string of lawsuits over those motors. It seems they spend more time in the shop than on the road.

At least it's a 2013 and not a 08-10 ish but maybe you should have googled "maxxforce 13" and see everything that pops up. Not sure if I have heard anything good about them yet...ever..

But I suggest while it's running good still save around 20k for a cummins swap when time comes.

    But then again.....

What are the odds of you striking the lucky charm of the maxxforce and treats you good..

How many miles on the truck it's a 2013 I'm assuming in the 300k ish?

Thanks for the replies. It's not what I wanted it's what I could afford at the time. My 2009 T660 was having so many regen issues, and none of the MHC Kenworth shops could get it right. I tried to get a 2007 W9 really clean with a million 275,and over hauled at million 125. Credit union wouldn't finance it. So I ended up with this International with 400 thousand miles. Gonna get it looked over by my mechanic soon.

Make sure there is no loop holes, you are going to need it. The 2013 I had blew 2 motors sky high before it hit 400k and we retired it. Had a sleeve come apart the first time and the 2nd time it ran away and thur a rod thur the block. Knight made a deal with international to buy back everyone one of them we have after 3 years of service. Thay have had so many issues Knight has parked a good amount of the ones left and they will rot there until they day they get traded back.

High mileage for the year is a good sign that it didn't spend much time in the shop, but may be due. Good luck.
