    Hickory Transportation based in Jacksonville Florida is owned by The Steele family.Their former outfit was Eleets (Steele spelled backwards)Trucking that filed for bankruptcy and left owing drivers a lot of money.I worked for Hickory for a month and they put you on paper logs and ask you to falsify them in order to get the job done.Something I absolutely refused to do so I left.Miles were crummy (1000-1500) per week and their Ryder rental equipment is pure junk.My tractor was in the shop 3 times and their refrigerated trailers are worn out.Bad brakes,refrigeration units,and tires are rotting.1/2 a day orientation says it all and your out the door.Beware of this outfit and most of all watch out for Scott Steele the vice president who is a real POS.

    Kudos on not being that guy who complains because they "made" him run illegal, and instead you did the right thing. Thumbs up for that.

    Yea, It's a good thing you got out early and stood your ground. And the ELEETS thing is hilarious. I just couldn't take a company seriously who simply spelled their name backwards. Kinda says something about jist how little time they spent working on their business plan.

    Doug E but I don't know if he's still works there or not.They fired the last safety manager so maybe Doug is history too.

    Running illegal and getting 1000-1500 miles/week?? That's lik paying a 400 dollar electric bill but not having a/c lol
