Do you think it will be tough to get back home every month for at least 2 days? I know these megas want you to stay out forever but 3 1/2 weeks or so out at a time is pretty good don't you think?

Dont you like being home ? There's days my wife can't stand me. Those days I wish I was doing OTR sharing the road w you guys.

IIRC Swift let you put in a home time request after you were on the road for two weeks. Your request had to be a week in advance of the target date.
I gamed the system. Since you can put in any zip code for your request I would put in a zip code to an area of the country where freight was moving, then once I had a long haul in that direction I would cancel the home time request.NavigatorWife and tucker Thank this. -
DTP and Giuseppe Ventolucci Thank this.

Do your research there are companies that get you home weekly.

I'm not sure where you live, PA maybe, but if you want. home on the 30th, don't accept a load delivering 2,000 miles away on the 29th, just remind them you need home and let them void the load, or take the load and great miles and have them preplan you a load back home after you deliver and you get home a lil late.
NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
Most of the good companies have home time posted. It's normally 14 out 2 home or 21 out 2-3 home unless you wanna stay out.

There are literally dozens of companies near where I live that get you home at least weekly. Look for a smaller carrier and steer clear of the megas
