You call on a load and they say we got it at 90cents a bushel, that means the truck gets paid that right?

49,000lbs divided by 56lbs is 875 bushels times .90 equals $787.50.cmbks21 Thanks this. -
Thanks, I was just curious if that's how it worked, I'm new to the hopper world, little different than oil

Ton bushel all pays by weight. Don't get hung up on that 56lbs/bu on corn. I've seen 54, 56, etc. Keep your scale tickets they'll give you the test weight moisture etc. More bushel more money but you'll be a DOT magnet and you'll also be time stamped everywhere you go keep that in mind the log needs to match the stamp carry a copier and white out when in doubt.
blade Thanks this. -
bushel weight is set corn is 56 lbs a bushel anything less your getting ripped off. It is not your fault the quality of corn you get paid by the weight you haul not the dockage weight
