battle mountain was or is a dealer franchise store Like the Broadway locations in Washington. Not corporate locations.

Long gone now, but stopped at the 76 in Vacaville, ca. all the time.
place was great, good food, clean, lots of parking.

 

Then that explains it

 

The Broadway flying j near ellensburg, WA is a total dump. And forget about getting a parking spot at the Seattle east TA unless you reserve one at least a couple days in advance.

 

There are still lot lizards and crack/meth heads running all over there, once in a while I get fuel here late at night...

Every time I go there the police catch a trucker with a #####...

The fact that they NEED armed security says enough...

Antioch just up the road doesnt have as much crime, but is just as much of a dump.

Honestly I havent been there in over a year, place was still a dump last time...with crime and toothless prostitutes ...just like the rest of Nashville

 

The old Pilot at the Arkadelphia exit off 20/59 in smoke is also on my "no frekin way" list. It was a pretty good size for a Pilot but always crowded. If the fuel lanes were backed up they blocked the entrance. Everytime I've been there (5 times) I was approached at the pumps by some lowlife selling fake something or another as the guard inside just hangs around the cash registers chatting up the cashiers.
That tiny FJ jst north of Tampa was worthless, what maybe a dozen actual parking spots & not much room for creative parking.
The TA in Gary & all the truckstops on 285 were bad news.
I had a couple of fun weekends at the Mesquite TA back in party row. I overdid it the 1st 2 times & felt worse leaving on Monday than I did arriving Friday.
