Just like starting any trucking business. Get your authority, customers, and a truck. Then knock yourself out.

I see a lot of the oil field hot shot drivers heading to Elkhart to deliver RV’s. The delivery companies love them since they all have CDL’s, (it helps lowers the companies insurance rate).

Easy to start. The hard part is continuing. The comment above about having capital is spot-on! I'd recommend a minimum of 3 months and much better would be 6 months worth of living/business expenses in the bank.

If you don't have the start up capital, really hard. Your only option if you don't have the start up capital is to find a company to lease on to. That can even be challenging in it's self.

Would be easier just to take what money you have that you don't need and give it away to someone.
At least you want be tired and aggravated at the end.
What freight that's available to hot shot is probably 50% of what it was a year ago and rates are 50% less in lots cases. So you have to fight class 8's for what's available and then they will haul it cheap cause they can haul two or three of these turd loads whereas you can only haul one. Not a good market to jump into right now wasn't that great before. Mostly generated by people telling lies cause misery loves company.
