Presently looking to accept a Dry Van western regional position, but ultimate goal is Tankers with a move to Atlanta,GA. Presently tanker is not available in my area and I do not expect a move for at least 2-3 years. Just was curious if anyone else has made the switch within the company?
How hard is it to make to switch from Dry van to Tanker within Schneider?

Hard? Not really hard to change jobs within the company. You will have to have an excellent record (i.e. no safety violations ,incidents etc )would just need approval from your DBL and then approval from someone on the tank side.

And they'll have to be hiring in your location for the new line of business you want to switch too.
-
You'll also need to go thru tanker orientation as a new driver.

you could switch, but after having 2-3 years of experience you could do much better than SNBC.

I was thinking about doing the same thing but from bulk to dry van. One of my biggest concerns is the fact I'm under a 1 year contract. I was thinking of trying after my lease on my apartment is up in 6 months and move from Houston to Dallas
