I had a phone interview with Averitt last Wednesday (10/21) and haven't heard anything. Should I take that as a sign they didn't like what they heard? Is it normal to wait this long? Thanks....
How long after phone interview...

I think @TROOPER to TRUCKER works for them. Maybe he'll pop in with more info....
-
give them a couple of weeks before calling , they may need time to do their background checks and check referances
-
Call them back thanking them for the interview or write a letter

My recruiter called me a bit ago....his wife had a baby last week and he's been off. Anyway, I'm scheduled for orientation on 11/9. So excited! Averitt was my first choice....I applied the first time in July (while I was still in school) and the recruiter I had then took issue with the fact I had been terminated from a prior job 2 years ago. She said she had to get it approved and she would call me back; I never heard from her again. I tried a few times to contact her but didn't have any luck. After that I applied to and went to orientation at TransAm; yeah that was a joke. I made a post on here about TA and even stated that I knew they were crap and I would suffer through it. Turns out it's much worse there then it seems and I wasn't up to dealing with them.
So a few weeks ago for poops and giggles I applied to my first choice again. I figured heck why not, the worse thing that could happen is they don't call me. A few days after I applied a new recruiter called me, said he had already review my application, discussed the termination with his supervisor before calling me (it's nice when a recruiter actually reads your application before hand instead of waiting until you're on the phone with them) and everything looked good and he setup a phone interview. Had the phone interview, went good I thought. I didn't hear from him as quick as I thought I should (my excitement was getting the best of me) After a stressful week of not hearing anything I got the call today!
Everything is falling into place and it feels right.
Thanks everyone for the info about AverittSHOJim, chopper103in and Tonitos Thank this. -
