Any of you have a problem with the turbo spooling little to none occasionally? I have an 07 d12, vnl780. 1.350 million miles. Trying to make it last till the end of the year. It HATES hills and mountains. Avg boost when working right, 30 psi. Sometimes flatlines at 15. Any of you had the hp boosted? Heard many other motors have it done. Anyways, thanks for any help, info, and advice.

I know one thing overlooked on these Volvo motors is air in the fuel line. I had a air leak in my fuel filter housing on my 05 d12. The boost would only get to 25 psi sometimes.

4 things to check on a Volvo d12...

    1. replace/check boost sensor
    2. test system for boost leaks
    3. make sure exhaust manifold is not leaking
    4. Hook clear line to your fuel return and check for air bubbles

    KB3MMX Thanks this.
