My clutch is not hydronic, all mechanical. Do you think the hydronic parts from another Freightliner will fit to my truck without any modification? Спасибо тебе.
How to make the clutch pedal softer?

You can't just switch to a lighter clutch in a higher torque output application, it will slip and/or tear the dampners out of the clutch discs from the torque load. It would be very short lived.

IMO, too much work to do it.
It is easy to do it with Volvo only -

It looks like to much of a hassle. If freighter doesn't have "official" softer clutch
Plate , I will just sell the truck and get a ultrashift . -
That might be the best decision.

Extending the clutch lever will rearange the adjustments, avalable for the clutch. Changing the length, you have to either reduce the free-play, or the clutch break to keep the same clearance.
Greasing the clutch cross shaft in the cab it really does work. We had a group of cab overs that were stiff to push, They dismantled the interior to get the linkage out and replaced all the worn parts, a month later the problem returned. In those units to get proper clutch adjustment we had to re-drill the clutch lever shorter.
I was doing a Job on the motor and had the cab all the way over , the driver came in complaining about the clutch pedal effort. They added a condition, and I looked at the problem with the cab up the pedal effort was hard down and it would not come back, I drilled it and greased it, and with the cab down greased the slide sleeve. The driver took it for a drive while I cleaned the bay, it was a lot better, we had to re-grease it a few times, but it cured the problem.
I like to do the cheap stuff first, You can get an easy pedal clutch, you can not use a lower rated clutch. -
I have easy pedal in my truck now. but it is very hard to depress comparing with any european truck.
really i do not understand why american truck makers do not use servosbigtire Thanks this.
